Trial class policy

Every tutor on Habla Boricua offers a trial class: 25 minutes at 50% of their class rate. So a tutor with a $60 class rate offers a $30 trial. A tutor with a $40 class rate offers a $20 trial.

Trials happen in Google Meet with your tutor. Most trials are half getting to know each other and half trying some Spanish together. The point is to see if you click.

You can take one trial per tutor. If you want to try more than one tutor, you can. Take a trial with Marisol, then a trial with Kelly, then decide.

If your trial doesn't feel like a fit, you're not obligated to book more classes. Take the matcher again or browse the circle for a different tutor.

The 12-hour cancellation rule applies to trials just like regular classes. Cancel more than 12 hours out and your $30 (or whatever the amount) returns to you. Cancel less than 12 hours out and the trial is charged. See the cancellation policy →.

Once a trial has happened, it isn't refundable. Trials are treated as a completed exchange even if the fit wasn't right.

After your trial, you can book more classes with the same tutor at their full class rate, buy a package if they offer one, or try a different tutor. Your credit follows you.
