Spanish isn't one language. It's a family of dialects, cultures, and communities, each with its own rhythm. Puerto Rican Spanish is one of them. It has its own slang, its own music in its cadence, its own way of turning "para adelante" into "pa'lante." When you learn Spanish from someone who's flattened it into neutral LATAM, you learn to survive. When you learn it from a Boricua, you learn to live somewhere.

Every tutor on Habla Boricua is a native Puerto Rican speaker or a credibly fluent teacher of Puerto Rican Spanish. They have real teaching experience, from private tutoring to classrooms to platforms. And they've been personally reviewed by our team before joining the circle.

Habla Boricua is where you find your tutor, book classes, and manage your relationship with them. Nimodo is the learning space where the actual teaching happens: homework, class notes, vocabulary, corrections, progress, and an AI tutor for practice between classes.
Every Habla Boricua class comes with a Nimodo classroom. When your class starts, you meet your tutor in Google Meet and open your Nimodo board together. When it ends, notes and homework are waiting for you inside Nimodo, wherever you are.
I built Habla Boricua because when I started tutoring Spanish online, I kept hearing the same thing from students: "I want to learn like a Boricua." My students weren't looking for another neutral Spanish course. They wanted the accent, the slang, the culture, the warmth. They wanted the way my grandmother spoke.
I couldn't find a platform that took that seriously. So I built one. Habla Boricua is small on purpose. I want every tutor here to be someone I'd trust to teach my own family, and every student to feel like they've found a home.
