Accessibility
How we think about accessibility.
We want Habla Boricua to work for everyone. Here's where we are and where we're headed.
Our commitment
Learning a language is personal, and the tools around it should never be the hard part. We build with accessibility in mind from the first sketch, and we treat gaps as bugs, not nice-to-haves.
What we support today
- Keyboard navigation across all critical flows
- Screen reader labels on all interactive elements
- Color contrast that meets WCAG AA at minimum
- Video captions on tutor intro videos, when tutors provide them
What we're working on
- A full audit by an external accessibility consultant
- Improved Spanish-to-English caption automation for tutor videos
- Mobile screen reader optimization
